If theres one thing for chronic fatigue and fibro that i recommend without question it is the suppliment D-Ribose.Even hubby takes for energy from time to time .Of course exhaustion has a knock on effect to fibro fog and tolerating pain etc so if you can control your fatigue levels it can help multiple symptoms.

I did take that for a while a couple years ago. I may go back to my local health food store, get some and try it again. So, do you take it just once a day?

I take D-Ribose 5grams three times a day. It makes a huge difference in the fatigue/overworked feeling in my leg muscles. When I get up in the morning or when I overdo it, my legs feel as if I have run a long distance (I use to run marathons , so I know that feeling). Without the ribose, this feeling lasts longer and can even worsen even if I rest.

I tried this during the summer and found I started having blood sugar crashes as I slowly worked to increase the dose to what most people would start at. Has anyone else prone to hypoglycemia found the same thing with the D-Ribose? My thoughts were to re-try again another time and go more slowly. Perhaps there will be a tolerance level before it impacts blood sugar.

Your right perhaps changing the time you take it and the dose would help.I dont find it affects my sugar level as the molecule is different from regular sugar molecule.Even diabetics are allowed to use it.
For me its been a bigger help than any other prescription or OTC product ive tried.I just have to remember to take it
